Glam squads are a force to be reckoned with, evident in the beauty brand DuWop formed by makeup artist Christina Bartolucci and hair stylist Laura DeLuisa. It all started in 1998 when they worked together on the set of a TV show and were trying desperately to combat tired, puffy eyes on the actors. After much experimentation, they came up with cool gel compresses made up of essential oils and botanicals called IGels. The following year they decided to tackle an effective lip plumping product. After playing with ingredients like cayenne pepper and mustard seed (don’t ask), they came up with a cinnamon oil-spiked lip gloss called Lip Venom. The gloss is super shiny and gives a delicious sting.
