Indian Saree Collection, how many of you participated in the Facebook status reveal – revealing the color of the intimate garment as the status message?

Well, I was happy to see that I have colorful friends with colorful taste. None of them said “coconut shells”, or “metallic steel” or “saran wrap”!!!

But if Mamta Mohandas in this picture were to write her status message as a one word, it would just say fugly.

Indian Saree Collection, Not my fav saree, but I do like the extra texture and unexpected color that the border trim provides. Embroidery looks exquisite and I think it stands out better because the rest of the Saree is monotone and provides a solid base.

Fashion Style, Romance is in the air for this long legged couple, Russell Brand and Katy Perry. Earlier this month the comedian, who first met this American singer’s preacher parents at a ski resort in Austria, revealed his secret to impress Katy’s parents. Brand told paparazzi that when Katy’s mother told that nothing is impossible Russell went and quoted Nelson Mandela’s lines saying that everything is impossible until its done and this worked for Katy’s parents.

And recently this very much in love couple was spotted walking hand in hand as they stepped out from Russell’s home in London heading towards the Chamomile Café in Primrose Hill. And this is how they are battling against the frosty snow of England. Russell had donned black skinny jeans with a duo of Tees framed with a black leather jacket. While Katy also ad sported her black skinny jeans with a cozy long blonde hued coat. The common things were the knitted woollen caps and black shades that made the duo look simply stylish this winter. This pic has clearly brushed off the rumours of her getting cozy with Twilight’s Robert Pattinson.

Bikini, I am shocked and disappointed! No saree clad women in Kingfisher calendar? What is this world coming to?

My only solace is that I can think of the calendar as a “potential saree blouse design” calendar, because these days it is so hard to distinguish between the saree blouse and the bikini blouse.

So by the power ordained it me by the gods of NewYear’s eve party hangover, I proclaim the kingfisher calendar as the “kingfisher saree blouse design calendar”.

Jewelry Fashion, I hate it when they stereotype what Jewelry can a mother wear and what saree can the daughter wear (ok, in this case they wear the same saree, but different blouses)!. But why does one have to be in a different age group to wear different types of blouses; the same woman may feel like an angel one day and a devil the same evening; and she needs to have different types and styles of blouses – one to hold on to her halo and other one to hold on to the horns!

I try to design two or three different types of blouses for each saree; even if it is a “event saree”, designed for a specific place, it is not a bad idea to have different blouses. At times it is better to get two exact same sarees to get all the material so you can experiment.

Celebrities Fashion,  Jennifer Lopez has surprised me a lot … It’s been a long time since she wasn’t noticed wearing something completely mouth-agaping like the following bodysuit.

Such an ensemble the star has chosen her for her appearance on Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve, and she was the talk of the town.

It goes without saying, that the sexy cat suit is OK and Jen’s body is great, but don’t you think that it is too much? She is not 15, she is the mother of 2! and almost 40!

She is a strong and confident contestant for Miss India 2010 and Miss World 2010. I am also looking forward to seeing her in some upcoming movies.

She was asked “what a woman can give a best gift to a man” neha gave the reply,”there are many things which a woman can give to a man but the only one thing that a woman can give ever is a birth to a child by all her compassion and patience”.

FashionTips, Christina Aguilera was recently spotted at the Petco store during the Christmas Eve in Beverly Hills, California. She along with her husband, Jordan Bratman and their lovely son, Max Bratman, 1 ½ came to shop for pet supplies. They looked really amazing in their winter dress up. It is their first Christmas together so one could find festivity in the cool air. The couple was well blended for the winter trend. They finally picked for their pet pooch and festive plush toys.
