Fashion Style, It’s the moment we’ve all been waiting for—the meeting of the two First Ladies who’ve had us glued to their every stitch. We had previously mused as to whether they might discuss a love of Alaïa, but who could have predicted they’d be in such sartorial harmony, both wearing tie-neck coats? Of course, we’d never dare to break down a real faceoff, but let’s explore the details. Mrs. Obama is wearing more custom Thakoon in a pixelated floral jacquard coat and a (kind of sexy) matching dress. It’s her second time wearing the designer’s wares on this European whirl, proving that even though Panichgul didn’t figure heavily into the Inaugural wardrobe, he’s still a favorite. Mrs. Bruni-Sarkozy, meanwhile, opted for her go-to fave Christian Dior, wearing a serene gray belted lambskin coat with a slightly flared bracelet sleeve. These are some tall ladies—and wow, Michelle is actually taller than Carla—so there’s no major shoe action: just the kitten-est of kitten heels on Mrs. Obama and a respectful Dior ballet flat on Bruni-Sarkozy. Verdict: They’re both representing their home fashion teams with flying colors, though Michelle is ahead by a hair for supporting up-and-comers. But tell us what you think. Would you like to see CBS mix it up in, say, an Olivier Theyskens creation? Was this transatlantic fashion moment all that you hoped it would be?
Fashion Style, The eighties, in all their body-con, big-shouldered splendor, were the biggest trend to emerge from the Fall shows. At Lakmé fashion week, Sabyasachi, one of India’s best-known designers, who shows in New York during the Spring collections, was on to a related scent. Taking an unexpected approach to references, he sent out an eye-popping mash-up of rustic Indian looks mixed with Like a Virgin-era tulle and netting accents. Call him the Marc Jacobs of the subcontinent.

Woke up after a restful night of sleep at the Four Seasons. Thank God, since it will be a long day today, after a very long day yesterday with four interviews and portraits. Even though it’s unseasonably chilly, I decided to go for a swim. It was really windy out; there were riptides in the pool. But once I dove in, it was perfect, and a nice start to the day.
Breakfast. The best thing about Asian hotels is the breakfast buffet, usually a huge spread from every continent. I started with congee and end with poached eggs and toast—and continuous helpings of coffee to rev me up for the long day.
Headed over to Lane Crawford at the IFC for an interview with Hong Kong
Tatler, my last of the trip. I talked about the Thakoon coat Michelle Obama just wore to depart for Europe. After a quick portrait, we go into Lane Crawford’s Platinum Suite, which looks like a cozy apartment but with four big changing rooms for VIP clients. Sarah Rutson, the fashion director extraordinaire, pops by for a quick hello. She sported a gray sweatshirt dress with shoulder pads as effortlessly as if she was wearing her pajamas out!
Lunch at the restaurant Isola in the Lane Crawford complex. We had Italian but talked about soup dumplings. Maria Tomei, my CEO, and I have never had them outside of New York and were craving them all of a sudden, even after our lunch.
Back to the Platinum Suite to host a four-hour event and meet the store’s top clients. Many, many different faces with great enthusiasm. Sarah Rutson was there with the Lane Crawford team the entire time, giving everyone so much personal attention that it’s no wonder the store has become Hong Kong’s fashion mecca. A beautiful, cool-looking woman came in wearing all black, sunglasses, baseball cap, and silver sneakers. She said a quick hello as Sarah and I were having a chat. She was eyeing Sarah’s dress (now a “Roses on Legs” print sundress), so Sarah took it off her back for the woman to try on. After the woman was ushered into a dressing room, Sarah whispered in my ear that she is Carina Lau, one of the biggest pop stars of Hong Kong.
Soup dumplings snack break! The Lane Crawford staff was so kind to order us a dozen to try. We devoured them.
After the private appointments, more people (about a hundred or so in all) were invited for a Champagne cocktail reception. We mingle for two hours before I hit a wall. I ask Sarah for a rain check on dinner and promised her an all-nighter the next time she is in New York.
Back in bed at the Four Seasons for some well-deserved sleep.
Fashion Style, After a late night celebrating the premiere of Valentino: The Last Emperor in L.A. on Wednesday, the iconic Italian designer was honored again on Thursday morning. The City of Beverly Hills presented an emotional Valentino Garavani with the Rodeo Drive Walk of Style Award, which has previously gone to Tom Ford, Donatella Versace, Giorgio Armani, Manolo Blahnik, and Mario Testino. “I feel as beautiful as I possibly can when I wear Valentino,” said Anne Hathaway, who made the presentation and became friends with the designer during The Devil Wears Prada. “I am drunk with compliments,” added Valentino. His signature will be permanently placed on the sidewalk of the famous street.
Fashion Style, The mother of two and the 33 year old actress Reese Witherspoon dazzled at the premiere of her new movie Monsters vs. Aliens. She was wearing an electrifying shimmer silver colored mini attire. The dazzling metallic Rodarte mini and cute Farrah Fawcett-like locks just made Reese look perfect for the event or fashion show. The stunning gray-and-yellow Balenciaga peep toes complemented the beauties look to the fullest. The cross-over of the shimmer dress consist of danger green stripes which add glamour to the dress and Reese.

The cute blonde locks that cover Reese’s forehead make her look younger and simply adorable and endearing. So what do you think of Reese Witherspoon’s dazzling look at the premiere. Is it fab or flub?

Dresses with flowers are all things fashion this season. Such designers as Carolina Herrera and Vera Wang made accents namely on flowers. Would you like your wedding dress to be with a flower?

What an unusual combination for a bridal gown. However, in this particular situation you will look formal and elegant. Be careful and don’t use too much of black.

Ruffles have always been romantic and they are the best way to have a traditional beautiful wedding. Ruffles are so feminine.

Bikini, Summer means maximum shedding off your clothes. So here I bring the sexy swimwear collection by Agent Provocateur for Spring/Summer 2009.

Wearing these sexy and seductive swimsuits you are bound to be noticed while coming out of the water showing your enthralling body in the swimwear.

The halter neck bikini swimwear in some bold color and designs like red and black gives a breathtaking effect to your glamorous body.

The evergreen checked designs in black and white with a cute red bow touch looks too appealing and gorgeous.

And checkout this one with red and white checks and a grey touch.

And these are the last ones with a sexy and seductive black look with nets. Which one’s your favorite?
Women Fashion, Oh my god, shoes are really dangerous this season. My eyebrows are still raising high every time I have a look at SUCH tall shoes. These shoes are monstrous, bejewelled, attractive and look like real sky-scrapers … I can even name them killing ones, since a lot of models have already fall, for example at Rodarte, Prada, and Pucci. With such shoes the must-have accessory of spring 2010 will be a pair of crutches. Anyway, these season hottest shoes are:
They are not simply high, they posses the incredible height, they are the highest shoes I have seen in the recent times. But that’s it – ultra-high heels are still very much de rigueur. What is more such shoes should come with a number of details: ribbons, bows, chains, tessels, crystals and etc. Structured heels are still interesting and in.

Wedges are extreme. There are all kinds of them: asymmetric, geometric and so on. And once again – height is the key!

The only shoes that can come with a small heel. Love their elegance and long-expected comfort.
