Fashion Style, First of all, I would like to congratulate Emma Watson with her 19th birthday!!! I wish her all the best dear, sincerely!!! And now I would like to ask you: “Whether you remember the way Emma was dresses during her 18th birthday?” She was gorgeous and elegant and she looked like a real young stylish lady. But this time everything was right on the contrary – Emma wore a kind of sports costume and comfy boots. Hurray! You like her more in …..

Shoes in Rubber Sole

Written on April 27th, 2009 by shamsino shouts

Shoes Fashion, It is inevitable, in the course of human events, that some phenomena will not only leave a person cold, but befuddle her entirely. Twitter, for example. Striptease classes. Rachael Ray. At the moment, however, the trend that’s really got me out of step with the zeitgeist is jelly shoes. Don’t get me wrong—I think most of the new jellies are quite chic, in particular the See by Chloé pair Kate Bosworth wore at Coachella and the gladiator sandal introduced this season by Givenchy, which I’m informed sold out at Satine in a single afternoon. But here’s the rub—and I do mean rub. I wore jellies as a kid, and the main thing I remember about the jelly sandal summer of ‘83 is the sound “squish, squish.” I mean, it’s rubber! Your feet can’t breathe in rubber! Now Kartell has come out, this week, with a pair of sleek-looking rubber ballerina flats designed by young Italian designer Normaluisa, and I’m dying to know: Am I missing out? Has plastics technology improved that much? Or, as the first hot weekend of ‘09 descends, will girls be slipping ‘n’ sliding in their jelly Givenchies? Comments, please.

The Rich And Famous

Written on April 22nd, 2009 by shamsi2 shouts

Fashion Style, The humble workaday lookbook is becoming a performance art piece for the young and good-looking. First, redheaded socialite scribe (and sometime mannequin) Jessica Joffe bared almost all for Katy Rodriguez; Nicole Richie, FabSugar reported today, will model for her own line, House of Harlow 1960; and Byrdie Bell is the new face of Gryphon. “I use a lot of sequins, but my clothes aren’t really glamorous. They’re special things to wear every day,” says designer Aimee Cho. “Byrdie leads a glamorous lifestyle, but her personal style is easier.”

Ambra Medda have a nice belt

Written on April 22nd, 2009 by shamsino shouts

Belts, Each year the first days of Salone del Mobile are always the most captivating. The design community trickles into Milan for the setup of their shows. I usually come as a spectator to do research, but for the first time this year I’m working on a show called Craft Punk with Fendi in their space in Via Sciesa. [The project, which launches tomorrow, features the work of 13 industrial designers and several truckloads of scrap materials from Fendi’s Florence factory.] The last three days have been really crazy—dealing with shippers and electricians and then running to openings and meetings. Intense, but fun for sure.

The sun finally came out today, which certainly gave a spark of energy to us all. I’m staying at the Straf Hotel in Piazza Duomo, where my window is basically under the Madonnina…very Milano. I woke up early to run some errands in the city center. Then I had breakfast over at Barnaba Fornasetti’s. He’s hosting very chic breakfasts in his gallery space in Via Manzoni with classically wonderful Fornasetti tea sets, and at night he’s a DJ in some underground exhibition space. No clue where, must find out. Afterwards, I headed over to Spazio Fendi to check up on the Craft Punk installation. Next came lunch with the Craft Punk designers as well as the architect for the venue, my good friend Serena. Today is her birthday so we downed a couple of bubbles and a sandwich, then off for a radio interview with Giusi Ferré for Radio Montecarlo.

Coachella Celebrations

Fashion Style, Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival was recently held on 18th April in Indio, CA and many celebrities with or without their beau were spotted there being cozy and enjoying the fest.

Here is Paris Hilton with her current boyfriend Doug Reinhardt dressed in a peacock halter bikini. I love that naval accessory but I am sick and tired of seeing that stupid thing on her forehead.

Audrina Patridge looks like a rock star in black vest and high waisted shorts with knee high boots.

And here is Dita Von Teese wearing an adorable red and white ruffle layered frock and beige wedges.

Here is electrifying Carmen Electra looking hot and sexy in a white broad neck mini dress and rugged boots.

And here’s one more charming duo Kate Bosworth and James Rousseau walking hand in hand enjoying in Coachella.

And last is the bare footed Alicia Silverstone with her handsome hunk Christopher Jarecki both sharing beer from one glass. How sweet!!!

Alexander Wang’s Campaign

Written on April 21st, 2009 by shamsino shouts

Fashion Style, I got my impressive tripartite “world of Alexander Wang” package with a fold-out pamphlet for his T collection, one book for his fierce runway show, and another with a full range of accessories. But the best part was tucked inside the ready-to-wear book: seven black-and-white spreads, shot by Brit photographer Daniel Jackson and starring Tasha Tilberg, that are a sort of millennial take on Avedon’s old Versace campaigns. “We didn’t want it to look dated, but it just felt right on Tasha,” says Wang, who’s been a longtime admirer of Tilberg and finally got his wish to cast her in his Fall show. “You have to have a strong girl who knows how to pose for this direction.” (Tilberg clearly does. The shoot wrapped four hours early.) The images certainly feel campaign-worthy, but Wang currently has no plans to buy ad pages. “It’s funny, I just heard recently about all these young designers doing mini campaigns,” he says. “But we’ve always had an editorial element to our lookbooks.” In other Wang news, the designer’s first ever capsule men’s collection is coming along nicely for a summer debut. There definitely won’t be a runway show, but Wang is still hammering out the how and where. Well, we hear Paris is lovely in July.

Lourdes Maria into the groove

Written on April 21st, 2009 by shamsino shouts

Fashion Style, Although there are no boy toys for little Lourdes—Barack is her man—it looks as though she’s taking cues from her mother’s eighties magpie (or should that be Madgepie?) stylings. Are you getting “into the groove” of this getup or is it on the “Borderline”?
